attention to my predecessor's despatch W. 11 of the 15th last which leaves me but little to add except, perhaps, to emphasize still more strongly what has been said on behalf of the claims of so meritorious an Officer as Mr. Price, whose public works for the benefit of this Colony will be his greatest achievement, now approaching completion. But neither they nor any other of his laborious undertakings have diverted his attention from the everyday incessant duties of his Office, which have at last brought about a state of health, which I am afraid will oblige him to relinquish the post he holds.
